Centro Párraga will host a new workshop for actors conducted by American actor and director John Strasberg

Centro Párraga will host from 22nd June to 3rd July the third edition of the workshop conducted by American actor, director and producer John Strasberg, regarded as an expert in the training of artists. The activity, intended for professional actors, is organised by TeaTres Acting Studio with the collaboration of the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities.

Strasberg has directed and worked with Paul Newman, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Elia Kazan, Joanne Woodward, among many others. In the mid-eighties he cofounded the Mirror Repertory Company and ran as well schools in New York and Paris. Beside his work at the head of John Strasberg Studios, he has conducted seminars and workshops for many years in countries all over Europe and Latin America and is founder and artistic director of Accidental Repertory Theatre- ART in New York, a non-profit theatre that develops training programmes for acting teachers.

The intensive course on acting, similar to those conducted by Strasberg in NY, London, Paris, Barcelona or Madrid, is based on the so-called Organic Creative Process, allowing the actor to flourish as the creator of the scene. It is an extremely personal process that helps each actor to develop his own technique.

Students will work using a scene prepared by themselves that Strasberg will take as a base to help them develop all their artistic skills towards their work as creators, recognising and channelling their impulses through the character’s performance and their own intuition.

The workshop, which is entirely carried out in Spanish, will be held from 22nd June to 3rd July –from 9 am to 2 pm-, but you can enroll for just one week or attend  the whole workshop or  single lessons as listener.
